Julia K. Doyle

Ms. Doyle is an experienced attorney specializing in commercial disputes, employment and aviation law.

Prior to joining Smith & Hennessey PLLC, Ms. Doyle worked as an associate at Condon & Forsyth LLP in Los Angeles, with a focus on aviation litigation. Her former clients include British Airways, Qantas Airways, LAN Airlines, China Airlines, Philippine Airlines and Air France-KLM. She is the co-author of “The Montreal Convention and the Passenger Bill of Rights” (CCH 2008), and a contributing author of The Liability Reporter, Vol. 13 (IATA 2010).

Ms. Doyle received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara (B.A., Honors, Communications and Slavic Languages & Literature, 1999). After several years of work as an Internet developer, she redirected her career path and graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in 2006 in the top 30% of her class.

While at Loyola, Ms. Doyle earned placement on the Dean’s Honor List and served as Production Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review in 2005-2006. During law school, she also was the proud recipient of the Mabel Wilson Richards Scholarship and twice participated in the annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. In 2004, she completed a course of study in Comparative Tort Law and International Arbitration at the University of Bologna.

Ms. Doyle is admitted to practice in California (2006) and Washington State (2011), and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Doyle is fluent in Russian. She is a member of the Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington, and Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association of Seattle.
